Banff Elopement
Photography & Planning
Helping couples who crave connection create their dream elopement in Banff.
You’re looking for something real, not a performance for everyone else.
You’ve made so many decisions. You’re tired. And you’re realizing that a traditional wedding might not be what you actually want.
If what you’re craving is a day that’s calm, connected, and designed around you two — you’re in the right place.
Being present with your partner matters more than a rigid timeline
I help couples elope in Banff and the Rockies in a way that feels intentional, relaxed, and beautiful. Whether you’re planning it all yourself or want a fully guided experience, I’ll meet you where you're at — and give you the support, structure, and emotional storytelling that lets you just breathe and enjoy the day.

Let’s ditch the overwhelm, the timelines, and the traditions that don’t feel like you.
You don’t need a 12-hour day packed with events just to prove it’s meaningful.
You don’t have to invite people out of obligation. You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect moment for every second.
Instead, let’s choose:
→ Intentional over traditional
→ Moments over performance
→ Presence over pressure
This is your permission slip to slow down, breathe, and celebrate your love — your way.
Imagine waking up with zero pressure; just excitement to marry your best friend in Banff.
→ No stress over timelines or guest list politics
→ Time to hike, laugh, cry, slow down, soak it all in
→ A photographer who blends in when it counts, and guides when needed
→ Photos that bring you right back to how it felt — not just how it looked
→ Delivered while you're still on a post-wedding high
“Oh my God. Honestly, Meegan, I think you’re the best photographer we’ve ever worked with. I almost teared up looking at them. They look amazing! Thank you for capturing these moments.”

More about me
Your Banff Elopement Photographer.
Hey, I’m Meegan!
(Yes, my name is pronounced the way it’s spelled!)
You weren’t meant to spend your wedding day posing endlessly for photos.
You were meant to feel it.
To run barefoot through the trees. To kiss when no one’s looking. To be with your people.

The average wedding costs $33,000. What if you could spend a fraction of that on a day entirely designed around you?
Google says the average wedding runs about $33,000 — but let’s be real: most couples I know spent even more, and still had to make compromises. Tight timelines, endless logistics, and barely a moment alone together.
Instead of paying for 150 meals and centrepieces, you’re investing in an experience. Whether that’s a helicopter ride, a private vow exchange on a mountain, or a day where everything’s handled for you—it's about making it meaningful.

Still have questions?

It depends on the season — summer and fall dates (especially in Banff) tend to book up quickly, often 6–12 months out. But if you’re planning something more last-minute, reach out anyway! I occasionally have availability pop up, and I’d love to see if your date fits.
-
Absolutely! Whether you want a lakeside ceremony at sunrise or a quiet mountain lookout away from the crowds, I’ll help you find the perfect spot based on your vibe, desired guest count, and accessibility. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
-
Yes — many locations in Banff and the surrounding areas require permits for ceremonies and photography. But don’t worry — I’m here to guide you through that process so nothing gets overlooked. I’ll help you know what’s needed and when to apply.
-
We embrace it! The Rockies have a mind of their own, and part of the magic is rolling with it. I always build buffer time into your timeline and have backup ideas if we need to adjust. Rain, snow, or fog — we’ll still create something beautiful (and honestly, the moody weather makes for some of the most emotional photos).
-
Yes! If you want to explore somewhere a little more rugged, make time for just-the-two-of-you portraits outside the wedding day, or get dressed up again for sunset photos on a mountaintop — I’m all in. These sessions are perfect for couples who want both intimacy and epic imagery.
-
That’s totally up to you — but elopements typically stay small and intentional. Most of my couples invite anywhere from 0 to 20 guests. Some locations in Banff and the surrounding areas do have group size restrictions, so I’ll help you choose a spot that fits your vision and your guest list. Whether it’s just the two of you or your closest circle, we’ll make sure the experience feels personal and connected.
“Meegan was very friendly, professional, and great to work with. Her photos always turn out beautifully. I highly recommend her!”
